Midweek Grit

It’s Wednesday. Breakfast was overnight oats and a Celsius. Lunch? Skipped. My stomach’s been off, and I don’t need any extra chaos while I’m on campus. Maybe I’ll grab a Starbucks later, but right now I’m keeping it light.

Truth is, I feel off. Emotionally drained. Physically worn thin. That’s nothing new, but today it’s louder. After a stormy, sweltering weekend with no riding, I’m sliding back into lessons tonight. Praying the Horse Heat Index stays in its lane so I can focus on the work, the sweat, the rhythm with the horses.
Not every day feels strong. Some days it’s survival mode. Eat what fuels you. Strip away what hurts you. Show up for the things that keep you tethered.
That’s where I am. Midweek. Off-kilter. Still here. Still moving.
How’s your Wednesday hitting? Running on fire, fumes, or something in between?
